Alexander Hirschhorn Klebanoff was born on December 22, 1982, in Manhattan, New York, to literary agent and publisher Arthur Klebanoff and the very first executive director of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (founded by Evelyn H. Lauder) Susan B. Hirschhorn who serves on the Advisory Board to this day. He is the grandson of electrical engineer Michael Klebanoff who invented hermetic seals that were utilized by the United States military. He has one sibling, a younger brother, Jon Klebanoff. He is of Jewish, Russian, and Polish ancestry. He grew up on the Upper East Side neighborhood in New York City. At a young age, he created visual art, played classical piano, watched the Golden Age of Hollywood cinema, and reenacted Sylvester Stallone 1980's action movie scenes with his brother. At 13, after hearing The Jimi Hendrix Experience he got a Fender G&L Legacy guitar and taught himself by learning Slash's lead guitar riffs from the album Appetite for Destruction (1987) by Guns N' Roses. He attended Riverdale Country School in The Bronx, New York and Bard College in upstate, New York earning a B.A. in Art History. He also was the lead and rhythm guitarist and founding member of a hard rock band named River City Ransom performing live concerts on Bard College's campus so that every student could attend without paying an admission ticket. He plays the same Fender G&L Legacy guitar to this day.

At 22, Alexander decided to work in the Art Business in New York City. He began at global gallery Marlborough where he assisted with gallery client relations and sales, recruited and managed emerging artists, and co-curated a group exhibition of established artists, including Francis Bacon and emerging artists, including Steven Charles. The exhibition received news coverage. He also managed the art collection of Ronald S. Lauder, younger brother to Leonard Lauder, the sole heirs to The Estée Lauder Companies cosmetics fortune. He also worked at Christie's auction house in the Post War and Contemporary Art department (Bret Gorvy and Amy Cappellazzo were Chairman) providing support which included, providing data on the art market and contributing art historical writings for their published sales catalogue. He then founded an art consulting company running the company himself. The company's focus was providing clients with specialized insider knowledge about contemporary art which included, touring contemporary art gallery exhibitions in Chelsea, Manhattan discussing the art, gallery exhibition curatorial design, and art market trends. His work and using his eye for emerging talent also allowed him to acquire contemporary artworks before the artists achieved successful art careers and received critical acclaim, including Kehinde WileyBarry McGee, DONDI White, Keegan McHargue, Zarouhie Abdalian, Alicia McCarthyAaron Johnson, and Lance de los Reyes

Notably, at 27 in 2010, Alexander chose to get completely sober and he is completely sober to this day.

Alexander lives and works in Los Angeles, California.
